How do I book my car in with VAG Torque?

Call or WhatsApp us on 07745 319921. We'll ask about your car, what you need and agree a date. For diagnostics we usually want the car for a full day so we can road-test and correlate live data. For engine builds we scope the project in writing before any work begins.

Do I need to drop the car off or can you collect?

For longer projects and engine builds we can arrange collection and drop-off across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire. For shorter diagnostic sessions we usually ask you to bring the car to our Hurst workshop. Just ask when you book.

Our workshop is based in Hurst, Berkshire. We serve VAG owners across Hurst, Wokingham, Reading, Ascot, Windsor, Maidenhead, Slough, Basingstoke and beyond. Collection available for longer projects.

Is there a diagnostic fee?

Yes. Diagnostics are a paid service because we do them properly. A full ODIS and VCDS session with live data review and road-test correlation takes time and expertise. We quote the diagnostic fee before you book, and if you proceed with the repair, we'll discuss how that factors in.

How do you price a job?

Every job is scoped and quoted in writing before any work begins. Performance software is priced by stage and platform. Servicing is priced by schedule. Engine builds are costed line by line. Parts, machining, assembly, calibration. No surprises.

How can I pay?

Bank transfer or cash. For larger projects we usually take a deposit with the balance on completion. Every invoice is itemised and explained line by line.

Will my warranty be affected by performance software?

Accepted Answer

Performance software and hardware modifications may affect manufacturer warranty. We're transparent about this before any work. For servicing and maintenance using OE parts, your service history remains valid. We always explain the implications clearly before you commit.

What parts do you use?

OE or OE-equivalent parts for servicing and maintenance. Wössner forged pistons and rods for engine builds. Every part is sourced from trusted suppliers and documented. No cheap substitutes, no corners cut.

Are you insured?

Yes, fully insured. Your vehicle is covered while in our care, stored securely indoors during longer builds. We're a registered business with public liability insurance for your peace of mind.

Do you work with other garages and trade customers?

Yes, we offer favourable rates for trade customers, independent garages and performance specialists. If you need diagnostics, calibration or specialist VAG work that you don't have the tooling for, we can help. Collection and drop-off available.
